The Mississippi AI Collaborative (MSAIC) is a statewide partnership dedicated to transforming how Mississippi learns, works, and grows through artificial intelligence. Our mission is to ensure that every student, educator, and business has access to the tools, training, and opportunities needed to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving economy.

Through a comprehensive approach, MSAIC bridges education, workforce development, and industry, creating seamless pathways for AI adoption and innovation across the state. From rural schools to urban centers, we make AI education and resources accessible to all, fostering collaboration and driving real-world impact.

What We Do

Empowering Educators: Over 1,200 teachers trained to integrate AI into classrooms, preparing thousands of students for technology-driven careers.

Building Skills for All: More than 4,000 Mississippians engaged through AI-Thons and workshops, equipping participants with critical AI skills.

Supporting Small Businesses: Connecting undergraduates with small businesses and nonprofits through our AI Agency, delivering practical solutions that drive growth and efficiency.

Why It Matters

Mississippi faces critical challenges that demand immediate attention. Nearly half of the state’s college graduates leave annually in search of better opportunities, creating a persistent brain drain that weakens local communities. Small businesses, which make up 99.3% of Mississippi’s economy, often lack the resources to adopt transformative technologies like AI, leaving them at a competitive disadvantage. Additionally, gaps between education and workforce needs hinder the state’s ability to align talent development with economic progress. Addressing these interconnected issues is essential for building a thriving, resilient Mississippi.
