The Southern Spark Conference is excited to announce its 2025 Call for Presentations, inviting technologists, educators, researchers, and industry leaders to share insights, best practices, and groundbreaking work in technology, education, and community impact.

We welcome proposals that highlight:

  • Technology in Workforce Development: Innovations in career preparation, reskilling, and upskilling using AI and other tools.

  • Innovative Educational Practices: AI and emerging technologies in the classroom, digital tools for enhancing learning, and new pedagogical frameworks.

  • Community-Centered Tech Solutions: Projects that address challenges through technology and foster collaboration.

  • STEM and STEAM Initiatives: Programs that inspire creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking across disciplines.

  • Hands-On Workshops: Interactive sessions demonstrating tools, techniques, or methodologies.

  • Business Applications of Emerging Technologies: Case studies and insights into how businesses are leveraging AI, data analytics, and other technologies for growth and efficiency.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Using big data and analytics to inform educational strategies, business practices, or project outcomes.

  • Cross-Sector Collaboration: Exploring partnerships between education, industry, and government to drive innovation.

  • Future of Work: Presentations addressing trends and predictions for the tech-driven workplace of tomorrow.

  • Technology and Creativity: Integrating digital tools into creative fields like art, design, music, and storytelling.

  • Cybersecurity and Privacy: Addressing the challenges and solutions for keeping data secure in educational, workforce, and business settings.

Presentation Formats:

  • 30-minute breakout sessions

  • 1-hour workshops or panel discussions

  • Poster presentations

  • Lightning talks (10 minutes)

Submission Guidelines:

  • Title of the presentation

  • Abstract (max 300 words)

  • Presenter(s) name(s), title(s), and affiliation(s)

  • Intended audience (educators, students, industry professionals, etc.)

  • Presentation format preference

  • Any AV or technical requirements

Please submit your proposals via this link or through our form below by March 21. Selected presenters will be notified by April 11.
