No, this accelerator is for any Mississippi educator providing instructional services and support at any level. We welcome K-12, higher learning, out-of-school instructors and leaders across the state the apply.

Selected Accelerator Fellows will receive training to teach, train, and advocate for equitable AI use in education. This preparation will take the form of 8 meetings where fellows collaborate and learn from industry experts and develop a professional development workshop to present to their colleagues at the end of the fellowship.
One of these required attendances is the MS AI Summit, which is an expense-paid conference where fellows and experts from across the world will convene to discuss the future of AI in learning spaces.

The $1,000 stipend will be distributed in two parts: $500 at the MS AI summit and $500 after the fellow presents the training workshop they developed.
Professional learning with AI experts will occur throughout the duration of the fellowship experience.The MS AI Summit expenses will be arranged and paid for by the fellowship coordinators in June 2024. Any reimbursement will be disseminated by August 31, 2024.
CSTA+ Membership will be granted during kick-off ceremonies for the Accelerator.

10 Mississippi educators will be selected across the state for a transformative 6-month fellowship aimed at empowering educators to lead the charge in teaching, training, and advocating for equitable AI educational practices.
About the MS AI Accelerator
This fellowship is designed to give you an unparalleled chance to enhance your skills in training, teaching, and advocating for equitable Artificial Intelligence (AI) education in learning spaces. We know the buzz around AI will continue to excite educators and students alike and we want to ensure Mississippi educators are at the forefront of preparing students to thrive in a future of AI-backed tools, resources, and opportunities.
Program Overview:
The fellowship spans six months, during which participants will engage in events designed to address key challenges and opportunities in the use of AI in learning spaces. The program combines workshops, mentorship opportunities, and networking to ensure a well-rounded and enriching experience. Fellows will work collaboratively to develop professional development training experiences to bring back to their colleagues, beginning a process of building state-wide AI-knowledgeable educators. The Accelerator will culminate in an all-expenses-paid 2-day Mississippi AI summit where fellows will share the stage with industry leaders.

Eligibility Criteria
Be a current Mississippi educator or educator leader (ex. K-12, higher learning, out-of-school programming, etc.)

Project Requirements
Present/train a minimum of 25 other educators (fellowship coordinators will assist with this) in a 60-120 minute workshop
Direct supervisor (ex. Principal, program director) must sign off on participation with an understanding of the expectation of presenting to colleagues
